Bruce Springsteen To Herald New Album With Multi-Night Takeover On ‘The Tonight Show’

Bruce Springsteen has announced a four-night residency on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in support of his new album of soul covers, Only The Strong Survive, due on Friday, November 11th.

The 20-time Grammy Award-winner will kick off his stretch of The Tonight Show appearances as performer and lead guest on Monday, November 14th and return to 30 Rockefeller Plaza for additional performances on Tuesday, November 15th and Wednesday, November 16th. The Boss will debut four new songs from the new record during the stint, with one appearing on each of his three “takeover” episodes and the fourth due to be included in the show’s Thanksgiving episode on Thursday, November 24th.

While Springsteen has appeared on NBC‘s popular late-night talk show twice before—in 2015 and 2020, respectively—he has never before performed on the program. Previous Tonight Show artist takeovers have included Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, BTS, Miley Cyrus, and Cher.

In addition to prepping for the release of Only The Strong Survive, Bruce Springsteen and his longtime backing outfit, The E Street Band, are preparing for a 2023 world tour. The outing, due to kick off in Tampa, FL on February 1st, will feature their first live performance in the United States since 2016.
