The Flaming Lips shared a live take of “Fight Test” from London’s The Forum in 2003. The live track is set to appear on the upcoming Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots: 20th Anniversary Edition, due out via Warner Records digitally and in CD formats on November 25 with an LP collection out on April 14, 2023.
The Flaming Lips announced the celebratory reissue of their landmark 2002 album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots in late September. Along with the announcement, the psychedelic rockers shared a live “Ego Tripping At The Gates Of Hell” from an XFM radio session followed by “Sunship Balloons” live on the BBC on Halloween 2003.
The massive reissue boasts a number of live recordings from the era including their complete concert from The Forum in London on January 22, 2003. The recently released live cut of “Fight Test,” Yoshimi’s opening track, is taken from the London show.
