Cass McCombs’ new album Tip Of The Sphere is available to stream via NPR Music’s First Listen series. ANTI- Records will officially release the album on February 8.
Unlike previous albums which were recorded sporadically at different locations, McCombs’ recorded Tip Of The Sphere during sessions held at Shahzad Ismaily’s Brooklyn-based Figure 8 Studios. Engineered by Sam Owens, the 11-tracks on the album feature Otto Hauser on drums and Frank LoCrasto on keyboards, as well as McCombs’ The Skiffle Players band mate Dan Horne on bass. In addition to streaming the album via NPR Music, McCombs also shared the video for the album track “Absentee,” check them both out below:
