Psychedelic rock group, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have released an equal parts trippy and eerie track today.
The new single, ‘Cyboogie’ is full of cool riffs, layered percussion, and plenty of whammy bar, not to mention the sci-fi-like keyboard.
The King Gizz boys teamed up with Jason Galea — who they’ve teamed up with frequently in the past — for the film clip.
The clip is like something straight out of the 70’s with lo-fi videography and unusual kinds of shots.
This is the first track to come from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard in over a year.
It’s a surprise given they released a whopping five full-length LPs in 2017: Gumboot Soup, Polygondwanaland, Sketches of Brunswick, Murder of the Universe, and Flying Microtonal Banana.
During the significant break (for King Gizz at least) they reissued their first four projects.
Check out their new track and weird video below.
