Galactic announced special guests for their 2023 residency at Blue Note in New York City taking place January 25 – 29. The New Orleans-based funk band’s list of guests includes Robert Randolph, Matisyahu and more.
Galactic’s residency at Blue Note is part of the NYC club’s larger celebration of jazz, funk and jam taking place early next year including performances from Karl Denson, Soulive, Lettuce, DJ Logic & Friends, Ghost-Note and more.
Helping Galactic kick off their Blue Note residency on January 25 is saxophonist James Carter. Pedal steel ace Robert Randolph will sit in with the renowned NOLA funk outfit on January 26 and 27. Matisyahu joins the band on January 28 while trumpeter Nicholas Payton helps Galactic close out their residency on January 29.
