Medeski Martin & Wood keyboardist John Medeski and drummer Billy Martin will revive their MAGO project this April for a rare gig. The duo will support Snarky Puppy at The Beacon Theatre in New York City on April 13.
Medeski and Martin issued an eponymous MAGO album in 2007. The pair played a number of shows in the format that year and trotted out MAGO occasionally for additional concerts. MMW performances are also hard to come by while bassist Chris Wood focuses on The Wood Brothers. The trio did assemble at Brooklyn Comes Alive last September.
Snarky Puppy follows their annual appearances at the GroundUP Music Festival next month with an extensive spring tour that starts in St. Paul, Minnesota on March 29. Buy tickets for Snarky Puppy and MAGO at The Beacon Theatre via Ticketmaster now.
