The Marcus King Band Garcia’s Show Moved To The Capitol Theatre Due To Popular Demand

Last week, The Marcus King Band announced a pair of intimate shows at Garcia’s—the 250-capacity auxiliary venue attached to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY—on March 6th and March 8th. However, when you’re as hot as The Marcus King Band is right now, sometimes “intimate” isn’t in the cards. Today, due to overwhelming demand, King and company announced that the second of those two shows (3/8) has been moved to The Cap’s much larger 1,800-capacity theater, marking the first time The Cap has ever moved a scheduled Garcia’s show to their main stage. The upgraded gig will also serve as The Marcus King Band’s headlining debut at the historic theatre.

The Port Chester shows were scheduled surrounding Marcus King‘s upcoming appearance at the Love Rocks NYC benefit at The Beacon Theatre on March 7th. Love Rocks NYC 2019 will see King join Robert PlantSheryl CrowBuddy GuyZZ Top‘s Billy F GibbonsLukas Nelson, and many more for the third annual running of the one-night-only benefit concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Money raised at the event will go to benefit God’s Love We Deliver, a non-profit organization that prepares and delivers high-quality meals to people who are unable to provide or prepare themselves because of illness.

The Capitol Theatre upgrade is not the only big news from The Marcus King Band camp this week. On Monday, the band announced that they will make their debut as the musical guests on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, February 13th.

Tickets for The Marcus King Band’s Wednesday, March 6th show at Garcia’s are sold out, but fans can grab your tickets to the newly-upgraded show at The Capitol Theatre on Friday, March 8th here.
