On February 15, Hayes Carll will issue his sixth studio album What It Is via Dualtone Records. In advance of its release next Friday, the LP is currently being previewed as part of NPR Music’s First Listen series.
The 12-track collection was co-produced by Brad Jones and Carll’s fiancee Allison Moorer, who also co-wrote a handful of tracks on the LP. “This record is made with the spirit of change, about my world and the world around me,” Carll told Rolling Stone Country. “To let go of excuses. To find the courage to live life. To be in the moment.”
