Kacey Musgraves, Childish Gambino & Brandi Carlile Win Grammy Awards

Kacey Musgraves, Childish Gambino and Brandi Carlile were among the winners at the 61st Grammy Awards ceremony. The annual event was held Sunday night at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Musgraves’ album Golden Hour was named Album Of The Year and Best Country Album. The album’s “Space Cowboy” won Best Country Song and “Butterflies”- which Musgraves performed on the show – won Best Country Solo Performance. Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” won Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year as well as Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Music Video. Carlile’s song “The Joke” won Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance. The song appeared on her album By The Way, I Forgive You that was named Best Americana Album.

Other notable winners last night included Greta Van Fleet (Best Rock Album), Beck (Best Alternative Music Album, Best Engineered Album Non-Classical), Willie Nelson (Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album), Chris Cornell (Best Rock Performance), St. Vincent (Best Rock Song, Best Recording Package), Leon Bridges (Best Traditional R&B Performance), Buddy Guy (Best Traditional Blues Album), Anderson .Paak (Best Rap Performance), The Travelin’ McCourys (Best Bluegrass Album) and Punch Brothers (Best Folk Album).
