J.WAIL featuring Natalie Cressman & Friends announced their show at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on June 1 will be “One For Chuck” Morris and his son Charley with $1 from each ticket sold benefitting the Morris family. Joining late Lotus percussionist Chuck Morris’ longtime collaborator J.Wail and Trey Anastasio Band’s Natalie Cressman are members of lespecial, Twiddle, The Motet, Particle and more.
Chuck and Charley Morris went missing on March 16 while kayaking on Beaver Lake near Fayetteville, Arkansas. The father and son were recovered on April 9. Since their deaths, benefit concerts for the Morris family have taken place around the nation including Lotus honoring Chuck and Charley in Denver.
Chuck’s former bandmate J.Wail and Natalie Cressman & Friends lead the latest tribute to Chuck and Charley at Brooklyn Bowl on June 1, which is Chuck’s mom’s birthday. Also set to perform are Ryan Dempsey (Twiddle), Luke Bemand (lespecial), Joey Porter (The Motet), Kito B (Particle), Rohan Prakash and Dave McSweeney (Hive Mind), Scott Hannay (Mihali) and others.
