Queens of the Stone Age will return to the road this summer for The End is Nero North American Tour, the band’s first since 2018. The run of 28 concerts across the United States and Canada comes in support of the band’s new album, In Times New Roman…, out June 16th via Matador Records.
The End is Nero Tour kicks off on August 3rd in Sterling Heights, MI and runs through October 6th in San Francisco, followed by a set at Aftershock in Sacramento on the 8th. The cross-continental trek will see Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore joined by Phantogram and The Armed on the East Coast and Viagra Boys and Jehnny Beth in the Midwest and West Coast. Alongside the mix of headlining shows, the tour includes festival sets at Riot Fest, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock.
In a press release, the desert rock pioneers pitch the upcoming tour as a celebration of the end of the world, which they hear is “in a month or two. They would like to encourage the obscene and the clean, the outcasts and the weirdos, and anyone and everyone in between to attend, this is where you belong. Leave your judgment at the door, bring anything and everything else.”
