Soccer Mommy (Sophie Allison) shared a cover of Taylor Swift’s “I’m Only Me When I’m With You.” The song will appear on the Nashville-based artist’s upcoming covers EP, Karaoke Night, set for release on September 22 via Loma Vista.
Karaoke Night follows Soccer Mommy’s critically acclaimed album, Sometimes, Forever, which arrived on June 24, 2022. The five-track covers EP also features songs from Pavement, R.E.M. and Slowdive. Allison previously shared Sheryl Crow’s “Soak Up The Sun,” which will also land on Karaoke Night alongside Taylor Swift’s “I’m Only Me When I’m With You.”
“I really wanted to cover this song because it’s one of my favorites from Taylor’s first album,” Sophie said of recording the early Swift tune. “I listened to that record so much when I was a kid and I think it had a lot of influence on me then.”
