After opening her Mother Road tour on Thursday in Maine, Grace Potter hit the highway to Providence, RI’s Veterans Memorial Auditorium for the second stop on her extensive late-2023 outing.

In addition to a handful of selections off her recently released fifth studio effort, Mother Road, Potter (vocals, keys, guitar) and her touring outfit—guitarists Charlie Shea and Indya Bratton, bassist Kurtis Keber, and drummer Jordan West worked through various songs from her Nocturnals catalog. The magnetic rock songstress also snuck in some nods to notable women in music that came before her, from Dionne Warwick (a snippet “I Say a Little Prayer”) to Grace Slick (a late-set performance of “White Rabbit”).
