The Innings Festival has expanded into Extra Innings as the baseball-themed music festival in Arizona will be held over two weekends in 2024. Both events will be held at Tempe Beach Park & Arts Park with Innings Festival slated for February 23 and 24 and Extra Innings debuting on March 1 and 2.
Innings Festival coincides with the Cactus League, when 15 Major League teams host spring training in the Greater Phoenix area. Extra Innings will also take place while the Cactus League is in full stride. The event was founded in 2018 and also featured installments in Tampa, Florida over the past two years. However, a note on the Innings Florida website mentions the festival will not be returning to Tampa.
“Extra Innings will feature a new lineup of totally different performances and guest MLB All-Stars,” as per social shares announcing the inaugural event. Both the musical lineups and list of participating retired and active MLB All-Stars are forthcoming for Innings Festival and Extra Innings.
Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, Green Day, St. Vincent, Billy Strings, My Morning Jacket, Black Pumas, The Black Crowes, The Revivalists and Marcus Mumford are among acts who have performed at Innings Festival over the past two years. MLB All-Stars who appeared at the two-day event last year included Randy Johnson, Jake Peavy, Dontrelle Willis and Grady Sizemore.
