Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California hosted a Rainforest Action Network benefit concert last night and Bob Weir dropped by play in the band. Weir, a familiar face around Sweetwater, accompanied Jackie Greene, Leslie Mendelson and others through a few Grateful Dead classics.
Joining Greene and Mendelson onstage at Sweetwater were Weir’s longtime collaborators, drummer Jay Lane and bassist Pete Sears, as well as guitarist Nathan Gray and Jerry’s Middle Finger guitarist Garrett Deloian. Billed as “REVEL,” the benefit helped raise funds to support Rainforest Action Network’s “work defending forests, protecting the climate, and upholding human rights.”
Weir’s time onstage at Sweetwater included performances of “Shakedown Street,” “Brokedown Palace” and “Sugaree.” Watch clips of Bobby’s sit-in at last night’s RAN benefit below:
