Phish’s next LivePhish archival release features the band’s concert at the “E” Center in West Valley City, Utah, which took place on this date in 1997. The recording arrives on Friday, November 17 at 12 a.m. ET on LivePhish.com.

Documenting another show on Phish’s storied Fall ‘97 Tour, the one off at the “E” Center began with “Runaway Jim.” A trifecta of a Mike Gordon-led cow-funk jam on “Gumbo” into an unfinished “Maze” followed by “Fast Enough for You” came next ahead of a pairing of “Also Sprach Zarathustra” — also boasting stellar Mike bass stylings — and “Funky Bitch.”

Guitarist Trey Anastasio then dedicated “Guyute” to sound engineer and luthier Paul Languedoc “in reference to Paul’s purported comment to the band that any song with whistling is a good song,” as per Phish.net. The ensuing set-closer, “Run Like An Antelope,” contained whistling.

A four-song seamless second set featuring standout versions of “Wolfman’s Brother,” “Twist” and “Slave To The Traffic Light” — all clocking in at over 15-minuites — followed. Phish capped the evening with Jimi Hendrix’s “Bold As Love.”

Phish’s Fall ’97 Tour concert at “E” Center will be available via LivePhish.com this Friday at midnight ET.

Phish returns to Madison Square Garden for their annual New Year’s Eve run December 28 – 31.
