Dweezil Zappa will celebrate the 50th anniversary of two of his father Frank Zappa’s landmark albums, Roxy & Elsewhere and Apostrophe, by embarking on the 30-city Rox-Postrophy Tour. The guitarist’s first tour since 2020 will feature a setlist highlighting selections from each record with unique hybrid arrangements.
“The songs you think you know, may just end up surprising you with parts you’ve never heard before,” Dweezil said. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been on stage playing the music I love. I’m inspired to try new things and looking forward to playing with the best musicians I know.” He added, “I’ll be bringing a hot setlist of Frank Zappa classics and personal favorites to all of the fans. If you have never heard my father’s music, this might be the tour to start your obsession.”
The Rox-Postrophy Tour will kick off on August 1st at Phoenix, AZ’s Celebrity Theatre and hit theaters across the East and West Coasts. Each night promises “two hours of music spanning Frank Zappa’s illustrious career, including a surprise performance from Dweezil with a historic instrument in hand.” The tour is set to conclude Wednesday, September 11th at Santa Fe, NM’s Lensic Performing Art Center.
Presale registration for tickets to the Rox-Postrophy Tour is open now. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 15th. Click below for a full list of tour dates. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Dweezil Zappa’s website.
