[UPDATE 6/24/24]: Sunshine Daydream is set to return for volume 3 on July 21st with a newly announced lineup of Terrapin Crossroads regulars in addition to a headlining performance by Phil Lesh & Friends.

A lineup rounded out by Stu Allen & Mars Hotel and Greg Loiacono & Stingray will pay tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s legendary 1974 performance at the Hollywood Bowl, alongside Lesh and his band featuring Stanley Jordan, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Grahame Lesh, Mikaela Davis, John Molo, and Jason Crosby. Meanwhile, the “Keep It Weird” Acoustic Bar Stage, hosted by Scott Law and Elliott Peck will provide music throughout the day between sets.

Beloved Terrapin Crossroads tradition “Stories and Songs with Phil Lesh” will offer the young ones some valuable time with the 84-year-old Grateful Dead bassist, and the Camp Terrapin Kid Zone will keep them entertained with face painting, inflatables, games, and more.

[6/5/24]: Terrapin Crossroads will celebrate the legacy of the Grateful Dead with volumes three and four of the Sunday Daydream series, featuring performances by Phil Lesh & Friends, Sam Grisman Project, and more. The daylong festival-style concerts will return to McNears Beach in San Rafael, CA on July 21st and August 18th.

On July 21st, Phil & Friends will headline Sunday Daydream volume three with a set featuring Stanley Jordan, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz (ALO), Grahame Lesh (Midnight North), Mikaela Davis, John Molo, and Jason Crosby. The all-star ensemble will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Dead’s July 21st, 1974 show at the Hollywood Bowl, a prime performance from the Wall of Sound era. An expanded lineup for volume three will be announced soon, per a press release.

“With this festival series, we’re sharing the legacy of these wonderful musicians and tours and re-creating the community spirit of Terrapin Crossroads,” Phil Lesh said, remembering his restaurant and concert venue that closed in 2021. “I love the opportunity to celebrate this music, bring it to new and diverse audiences, and keep the spirit alive.”

That same day, Sam Grisman Project will honor the decades-long friendship and musical partnership between David Grisman and Jerry Garcia.

“The music that my father, David Grisman, and his close friend, Jerry Garcia, made in the early 90s in the house that I grew up in is not only some of the most timeless acoustic music ever recorded, but it also triggers my oldest and fondest musical memories,” Sam Grisman said.
