The Canadian superstar Justin Bieber was supposedly paid a hefty amount of $10M to perform at the pre-wedding function of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on Friday, 5th July.
Anant is the son of Asia’s wealthiest man Mukesh Ambani and Radhika is the daughter of an Indian industrialist Viren Merchant. The actual wedding is supposed to be held on Friday, 12th July but before that, there will take place a lot of other activities, including the feature of Bieber on 5th July.
Justin Bieber Arrives in India
Not only did Mukesh Ambani spend $10M in order to have Bieber perform at the pre-wedding he also sent his gold-colored Mercedes-Benz which also happens to be bulletproof to pick him up from the airport on Thursday, 4th July. The Benz was surrounded by a lot of Range Rovers carrying armed professionals. Justin was picked up from the private jet terminal. However, it’s still not clear if it was his own or was provided by the Ambanis.
The pre-wedding function is supposed to take place at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, which can accommodate a total of 2000 people and is owned by the mother of the groom. The place has been modeled on Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre and the ceiling of the same is covered with 8,400 Swarovski diamonds.
If the rumoured fee of Bieber is accurate then it would mean that the singer has outraged the other artists like Rihanna who supposedly earned between $8 million and $9 million for an appearance that she made earlier in one of the pre-wedding activities.
