Kevin Bacon told the audience, ‘Boston always welcomes us with open arms.’ His comment was in reference to the fact that although he and his brother, Michael are from Philly, he’s never shot a show or movie there and he and his wife (Kyra Sedgewick) have shot a number of projects in and around the Boston area over the years. But last night at The Lynn Auditorium, a suburb of Boston, the boys captivated the audience with their music and sprinkled in short stories and even queried the audience about Tattoo’s and other connections to their songs.

The intimate evening focused on their latest album release, ‘Ballad of Brothers’ and featured the title song (which they told us they’ve never been able to play live just right but will attempt tonight).

Supporting Michael and Kevin were Paul Guzzone on bass and ukulele and Frank Vilardi on drums. Unfortunately, Tim Quick, their key guitarist and ‘Picker’ on the song of the same name, was unable to attend the show due to a family obligation.  The sometimes autobiographical and Americana style of music entertained the audience and culminated with the show ender of She Zee Zee (easy on my eyes) followed by the Encore of Strung Out and fan favorite, Footloose which got everyone out of their seats and into the aisles.
