Triple j has named the sleepy Victorian coastal town Warrnambool, on Peek Whurrong Land, as the official location for One Night Stand 2024.
15,000 tickets to the iconic one-day, all-ages, drug and alcohol-free festival were snapped up within 24 hours of going on sale last week, meaning she’s already officially sold-the-eff-out.

One Night Stand will make its triumphant return for the first time in five years on Saturday, 14th September at Friendly Societies Park on Peek Whurrong Land, Warrnambool, with a lineup of homegrown heroes including Hottest 100 record-breaker G Flip and ARIA Award-winning chart-topper Ruel.
Local super-producer What So Not will also be in attendance with the intriguing caveat “+ Friends”, suggesting punters will likely be treated to a few surprise guests in their set. While elsewhere, Meanjin-born, Gamilaraay Woman and beloved singer-songwriter Thelma Plum, First Nations singer, songwriter and producer Sycco and WA punk four-piece DICE also feature on the lineup.
As always, a triple j Unearthed competition winner will also be picked to open up the festivities.
The very first One Night Stand kicked off 20 years ago with a big blow-out in Natimuk, Western Victoria with the goal of bringing some of Australia’s hottest acts and rising stars to regional and rural areas.
Warrnambool now joins the likes of Lucindale SA (2019), St Helens (TAS), Mount Isa QLD (2017), Geraldton WA (2016), Mildura VIC (2014) and Dubbo NSW (2013) on the One Night Stand honours list.
Tickets to this year’s event cost a mere $10, with all proceeds going to Australian music industry charity, Support Act, which a bit of quick maths tells us totals $150,000 precious dollarydoos. Onya, triple j!
