Lawrence, the NYC soul-pop outfit fronted by the brother-sister pair Clyde and Gracie Lawrence, will bring its Family Business to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon next week for a nationally televised performance. The Lawrence Tonight Show spot is due to air during the late-night program’s Monday, August 12th episode on NBC.
The appearance comes as the band continues to promote its fourth studio album, Family Business, released in June on producer Jon Bellion‘s Beautiful Mind Records. The LP showcases a band making pop music the way they feel it ought to be made: with self-arranged, live instrumentation that balances high-level “musician’s music” and easily accessible, energetic songwriting.

Last week, the group released its latest “acoustic-ish” re-imagining of Family Business track “Whatcha Want”. With 10+ vocalists, fierce horns, and funky keys, to go along with its (somewhat) acoustic instrumentation, the live studio rendition is at once stripped-down and beefed-up. Watch the video below.

Lawrence will take the Family Business on the road this year for its biggest-ever headline tour, which includes Radio City Music Hall (few tickets remain) and a sold-out Wiltern in Los Angeles. The tour kicked off earlier this summer with a run of July shows across Europe. Lawrence also recently toured stadiums supporting The Jonas Brothers and opened for The Rolling Stones in front of a crowd of more than 80,000 at MetLife Stadium.
