Tedeschi Trucks Band welcomed Margo Price to the ongoing Deuces Wild Tour last month to open a run of shows beginning at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. The psychedelic indie-folk maven went on to provide support in Minneapolis, St. Louis, Toledo, and Milwaukee before arriving in Kalamazoo, where she joined TTB for a cover of Bob Dylan‘s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” to close out the night.
After sitting in on George Jones‘ “Color of the Blues” and Leon Russell‘s “Stranger in a Strange Land” with her whole band sans her husband/guitarist Jeremy Ivey in Milwaukee on Friday, Price returned to the stage with Tedeschi Trucks Band for Saturday’s encore for another all-hands-on-deck collaboration.
Starting with a slow and sentimental cover of “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” featuring Susan Tedeschi and Price on lead vocals and Gabe Dixon on piano, the ensemble then expanded with the addition of Price’s bandmates for another night-capping run through “Stranger in a Strange Land”.
