King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard continued their U.S. summer tour on Friday night at Asheville, NC’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena with yet another rowdy performance.
Other highlights from the King Gizzard Asheville show included a thrilling, show-opening “Boogieman Sam” > “Hypertension” that hinted at the “Ice V” to come a few songs later, a seething “Gaia” featuring not one but two drum solos, and the all-hands synth section featuring the live debut of 2023’s “Swan Song” and a pulsing rendition of its fellow The Silver Cord track “Gilgamesh”.
Next up for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is a Saturday night performance at Nashville, TN’s Ascend Amphitheater and a three-hour Sunday “marathon set” at Chicago, IL’s Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Find tickets to King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s upcoming U.S. tour dates here.
