Hip-hop royals The Roots will kick off 2025 with their first Australian headline tour in 12 years, complete with their full live band!
The multiple Grammy award-winning act will be kicking off the Lic/AA tour on New Years Years Day in Melbourne, before heading to Sydney and wrapping up in Brisbane.

All the shows will be both licensed and open to fans of all ages, with support from legendary Brooklyn-based MC Talib Kweli and three-time Grammy-nominated Melbourne songwriter, Nai Palm.
The Roots were co-founded by childhood friends Black Thought and Questlove in 1987 with their pioneering approach to hip-hop, playing underground gigs in Philadelphia, New York and across Europe.
With a prolific musical output across 11 studio albums and a tenure on international TV as the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Roots have become a household name.
