While Las Vegas, NV’s long-running Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival is taking a pause in 2024, the spirit of the event will live on in Sin City this fall with the inaugural A Big Beautiful Block Party featuring a two-day schedule of performances in Downtown Las Vegas, on Friday, September 27th and Saturday, September 28th [get tickets].
Set to take place at 324 S. Main St. in Downtown Las Vegas—a short walk from beloved spots like the Arts District, Symphony Park, East Fremont, and the Fremont Street Experience—A Big Beautiful Block Party will present two days of eclectic electronic music and more from around the globe on two stages with no overlapping sets and lower ticket prices than a full weekend-long festival.
The party will begin on Friday, September 27th with a performance by Honduran-American singer-songwriter Empress Of on the Big Stage (5:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.) before Catalan export John Talabot opens the Beautiful Stage lineup for the evening (6:00 p.m.–7:25 p.m.). Next, Grateful Dead-loving house DJ/pianist LP Giobbi will perform on the Big Stage (7:25 p.m.–8:15 p.m.) before Los Angeles-based alt-pop outfit NEIL FRANCES takes over the Beautiful Stage (8:20 p.m.–9:10 p.m.). After U.K. bass singer/songwriter/producer James Blake hits the Big Stage (9:15 p.m.–10:05 p.m.) and French electronic duo Justice rocks the Beautiful Stage (10:15 p.m.–11:30 p.m.), English DJ/producer Jaime xx will round out the night with a headlining performance on the Big Stage (11:45 p.m.–1:30 a.m.). The following day, on Saturday, September 27th, A Big Beautiful Block Party will get moving once again at 5:00 p.m. with an 85-minute set by Kosovo-Albanian singer-songwriter Fifi on the Big Stage. Following a Beautiful Stage set by eclectic Canadian instrumental outfit BADBADNOTGOOD (6:25–7:10) and a Big Stage slot by chillwave aesthete Toro y Moi (7:15 p.m.–8:05 p.m.), esoteric bassist/bandleader Thundercat will bring his potent blend of jazz, funk, hip-hop, and more to the Beautiful Stage (8:10 p.m.–9:15 p.m.). British dance music collective Jungle will grab the Big Beautiful Block Party baton from there for a set on the Big Stage (9:05 p.m.–10:05 p.m.) before beloved Brooklyn electro-rock ensemble LCD Soundsystem tops the Beautiful Stage lineup (10:15 p.m.–11:45 p.m.) and South Korean-born, Germany-based DJ Peggy Gou rounds out the party on the Big Stage (12:00 a.m.–1:30 a.m.).
