After celebrating its 10th anniversary with a retrospective setlist at Friday’s show in Los Angeles, Goose capped off a run of West Coast shows at Frost Amphitheater in Stanford, California on Saturday.
Opening the first set with the energetic “Animal”, Goose set a lively tone before moving on the geographically appropriate “California Magic”. “Silver Rising” provided a moment of introspective calm before the band transitioned into the more upbeat and groove-laden “Feel It Now”.
“Rockdale” brought a raw intensity to the mix, with the band’s interplay growing more dynamic as the set progressed. A highlight of the first half then arrived with a cover of Fat Freddy’s Drop’s “Fish In The Sea”.
Closing the first frame with “Thatch”, Goose delivered a heavy dose of high-energy improvisation, building anticipation for what was to come in the second set.
As has become standard for Goose, set two featured more extended jams, with just four songs comprising the setlist. The band kicked things off with a sprawling “Arrow”, a fan favorite that was left unfinished. “Travelers” then flowed seamlessly into “Elmeg The Wise”, completing the Autumn Crossing suite nearly one year after the EP’s release. The momentum carried into “Hungersite”, which finished the frame with a triumphant flourish.
For the encore, Goose treated fans to “The Empress Of Organos”, an expansive, celebratory piece that perfectly encapsulated the evening’s energy.

Goose will return to the stage on Friday at Tennessee’s Mempho Music Festival, which will kick off a southern run, before traversing the Midwest. The band will celebrate Halloween with fans in St. Petersberg, FL and has upcoming shows in Washington, D.C. and Charleston, SC and a two-night New Year’s run at Austin, TX’s Moody Center.
