The soul-funk collective Cool Cool Cool brought its high-energy, groove-laden performances to the Northeast this week as part of the band’s ongoing fall tour. Drummer Deion Williams joined the group after longtime Turkuaz/Cool Cool Cool beat-keeper Mikey Carubba announced his decision to step away from touring to refocus his energy.

After kicking off the tour with a run of shows in the South, including stops in North Carolina and Virginia, Cool Cool Cool arrived in its native Northeast on Wednesday for a show at XL Live in Harrisburg, PA. Following the mid-week funk throwdown, the group headed home to Brooklyn for a Thursday night show at Brooklyn Bowl, and continued the Northeast trek last night at Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport, CT.

Today, October 19th, Cool Cool Cool will continue its fall tour with a stop at Bayside Bowl in Portland, ME, alongside Micromasse, before heading to Zen Barn in Waterbury, VT tomorrow, October 20th.

Known for blending deep-pocket rhythms with soaring harmonies and a commanding stage presence, Cool Cool Cool is also gearing up for the release of a brand new single, “Made Ya Look”, which is set to drop on November 8th.

The band will continue to showcase its ability to seamlessly flow from laid-back funk jams into explosive, dance-worthy moments as the tour snakes its way through New England this weekend. Cool Cool Cool’s next run of shows will take the band out west in November, with stops at venues like Animas City Theatre in Durango, CO (11/20), The Lariat in Buena Vista, CO (11/21), and a return to Cervantes’ Other Side in Denver, CO (11/23) alongside Electric Kif and Spafford. The band will team up with Eddie Roberts & the Lucky Strokes to close out the year with a special New Year’s Eve celebration in Crested Butte, CO. With a busy tour schedule and a new single on the horizon, the band is primed for even bigger things in the coming months.
