Gumbaynggirr rapper Tasman Keith has unleashed his first slice of new solo music since his critically-acclaimed debut 2022 LP, A Colour Undone. Dubbed ‘TERRITORIAL’, Keith’s fresh single is a fiery statement of identity, seeing the hip-hop star invoke themes of family and legacy as he pays tribute to the community that shaped him.
Packing production from Beddy White and Papertoy and a vocal sample from Tasman’s own cousin, Paul Knox, the track reflects on the confident, braggadocious spirit of his roots, with sharp lyrics that vividly portray life in regional Australia.

“The song came to me during a turbulent period in my life, where returning to straight rapping felt necessary and therapeutic,” Tasman explains in a press statement about the track. “To begin this new chapter, I felt it was important to return to the mission and my community before propelling forward.”
The accompanying music video, which you can watch above, features a cast of Tasman’s own relatives, including poignant scenes with his father, Wire MC, as he continues his family’s artistic legacy.
Speaking about the music video, Tasman explains, “The video shows regional Australia as I see it, having grown up there. I wanted to make the imagery clear for people who may not experience it and show my people in real time”.
To toast the release, Keith will set out on an East Coast single tour, playing shows for fans in Sydney, Coffs Harbour, and Melbourne.
