Graham Nash is the latest veteran musician to announce the forthcoming auction of rare and valuable guitars. The former Crosby, Stills & Nash member has teamed up with Heritage Auctions to sell up to 19 stringed instruments from his personal collection, some of which carry very high significance in the nostalgic realm of rock and roll history.

According to the announcement on Friday, Nash will hope to sell 19 guitars during auction events on July 21st and 22nd. Some of the notable guitars from Nash’s collection to be included on the auction block include Duane Allman‘s Gibson SG used by the Allman Brothers Band member around 1961/1962, a 1963 Gibson J-180 black acoustic played by Don Everly of The Everly Brothers, a 1937 Martin 000-28 natural acoustic and 1934 Martin 0-17 mahogany acoustic which were both owned/played by Johnny Cash, Stephen Stills‘ former 1964 Gibson Firebird Sunburst solid body electric, and a 1969 Martin D-45 acoustic which was played by Nash during Crosby, Stills & Nash’s performance at Woodstock.

The opening bid on the 1969 Martin D-45 acoustic is currently set at$75,000, a somewhat manageable asking price compared to what the black Fender Stratocaster owned by Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour recently sold for an auction world record.
