Following Phish‘s rain-delayed, night two blowout at Boston’s Fenway Park on Saturday, the fellas of Aqueous welcomed the drenched but dedicated fans to Paradise Rock Club for a late-night afterparty to keep the fun going well into the early hours of Sunday morning.

The rock quartet from Buffalo started their 13-song performance a little past 11:30 p.m. with “Be The Same” before continuing right into one of their older originals in “Mosquito Valley Pt. 1” from 2011’s Giant Something. The opening three-song segue kept right on into “Origami”, a high-energy, spacey tune from 2012’s Willy is 40. Following a brief break from the music, the band picked right back up with a dreamy cover of Led Zeppelin‘s “No Quarter” before delivering a live debut of “Going Nowhere”, a song formerly known within the Aqueous setlists as “Silver Street”.
The music continued right into “Skyway”, “Don’t Do It”, and “Mind Games”, with the middle tune featuring a brief tease of Vampire Weekend‘s “Sunflower”. The set came to a close following another three-song combination of “They’re Calling For Ya”, “A-Punk”, and finally “Warren in the Window”. The show’s encore heard the band busting out their cover of Tears For Fears‘ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”, making it their first performance of the 1985 new wave anthem since their Valentine’s Day show on February 14th, 2018. The show and long evening came to an end with a performance of “Strange Times”.
