Vulfpeck held a live telethon on YouTube on New Year’s Day that featured official video of their recent sold-out headlining debut at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The pledge drive successfully funded the upcoming release of the vinyl edition of the album capturing that concert, Live At Madison Square Garden.
Vulpeck’s Jack Stratton provided live commentary during the New Year’s Day telethon and took questions from the chat. Stratton talked to Trisha Robinson, who was the MSG set designer, about making the stage resemble the band’s basement in Michigan, which included shipping furniture across the country.
The guest-filled MSG concert featured Stratton, Woody Goss, Theo Katzman and Joe Dart along with regular collaborators Cory Wong, Joey Dosik, Richie Rodriguez and Antwaun Stanley as well as Michael Winograd, Melissa Gardiner, Alice Stratton, Nate Smith, Dave Koz, Chris Thile, Charles Jones, Ryan Lerman, Mark Dover and Chris Grymes.
