Delta Spirit Announces New Album ‘What Is There’ & Shares Single

113

Delta Spirit announced a new album, What Is There, due out September 11 via New West Records. The band also shared the LP’s lead single, “How Bout It.”

What Is There is Delta Spirit’s first album in six years as well as their New West Records debut. It follows their 2014 record, Into The Wide. The band recorded What Is There at the Sonic Ranch recording facility in Tornillo, Texas. Delta Spirit dedicated the album to the memory of their friend and musical inspiration, renowned producer and musician Richard Swift.

The single “How Bout It” arrived with an accompanying music video, premiered by Billboard. Helmed by Michael Parks Randa, the video saw Randa reaching out to cinematographers throughout North America to “to safely document an intimate portrait of Americans in isolation,” as per a statement.

“The result is a celebration of the collaborative spirit of filmmaking,” Randa said, “a successful experiment in safely navigating production during the pandemic, and a mosaic of America during this time.”
