Cory Wong Premieres Animated ‘Synchronicity’ Video

Guitarist Cory Wong released The Striped Album on Friday. Today, Wong promoted his eighth album of 2020 by premiering the video for “Synchronicity,” a track from his latest LP featuring vocals from Phoebe Katis.

Joe Satriani, Hornheads, Tom Misch, David T. Walker and Mr. Talkbox also contributed to The Striped Album. Look for Cory to detail the process of making The Striped Album for a three-episode series of his Wong Notes podcast for Premier Guitar.

Cory Wong tapped Jessica Kion to create the animated video for “Synchronicity.” Wong plays guitar, bass, keyboards and drums on the track, and also added background vocals and programming. Phoebe Katis and Cory Wong are joined on the song by percussionist Steve Goold, trumpeter Steve Strand, saxophonist Kenni Holmen and trombonist Michael Nelson.
