‘Austin City Limits’ Details Remainder Of Season 44 Broadcast Schedule & Shares Mac DeMarco Video

The second half of Austin City Limits’ Season 44 begins on Saturday with the first of eight all-new installments. Saturday’s episode features Canadian rocker Mac DeMarco and R&B star Khalid. Producers of the iconic PBS television music series revealed the broadcast schedule for the rest of the 14-episode season. In addition, JamBase is pleased to premiere video of a song from DeMarco’s portion of this weekend’s show.

Classic episodes featuring Tom Waits and Iggy Pop from December 1978 and 2016 will re-air on December 22 and December 29 respectively. Then, a special broadcast of Austin City Limits Hall Of Fame New Year’s Eve comes on December 31 at 10 p.m. CT/11 p.m. ET featuring Los Lobos, Norah Jones, Gary Clark Jr., Robert Randolph and more. New Orleans brass-rock act Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue appears on January 5, Residente stars in the January 12 episode, Arctic Monkeys and Wild Child share the January 19 installment and Willie Nelson returns on January 26. The season comes to a close with Buddy Guy and August Greene on February 2 and ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival on February 9.
