Legendary musician Neil Young confirmed a handful of solo dates scheduled for January 2019. Young will focus on the Midwest over the course of the five-show run.

Neil Young kicks off the jaunt at The Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee on January 23. Next up comes a show at The Overture Center in Madison, Wisconsin on January 24. Young then heads to Minneapolis for three concerts at three different venues. The first will take place at Pantages Theatre on January 26, the second is slated for the Orpheum Theatre on January 28 and the third will be held at the State Theatre on January 29. A pre-sale is open to members of Neil Young Archives.

In other Neil Young news, Barclays has withdrawn its sponsorship of a Bob Dylan and Neil Young concert set to take place in London’s Hyde Park on July 12. “Neil Young has made the decision to move away from the Barclaycard presents British Summer Time concert series,” a representative for concert organizers British Summer Time Hyde Park said in a statement as per Rolling Stone. “Neil Young and Bob Dylan will play a stand-alone concert in Hyde Park on the same date, 12th July. All tickets will remain valid. The Barclaycard presents British Summer Time concert series remains unaffected and will continue as normal with more headliners to be announced in early 2019.”

Neil had protested Barclays’ sponsorship of his concert in multiple posts on his Neil Young Archives site. He called the bank “a fossil fuel funding entity” and took umbrage with the lack of tickets available for members of his site. “I believe in Science. I worry about the Climate Crisis and am deeply concerned about its massive global ramifications and my beautiful grandchildren’s future… There’s no doubt about it – it’s been a massive fuck up!” Neil wrote.
