Hozier was the featured musical guest on Tuesday night’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. For his appearance on the popular late-night talk show, the pop/folk-rock guitarist and singer performed “Almost (Sweet Music)”, one of the songs included on his latest studio album, Wasteland, Baby!, which arrived this past Friday via Rubyworks/Island Records.

Hozier’s performance of the uplifting indie-folk tune on Tuesday made for a lively listening experience from start to finish. The song’s vibrant tempo was only fueled even more by the added rhythm sounds coming from the claps of Hozier’s backing band. The added elements certainly helped to make the soulful tune come alive, especially considering the entire song is based around the catchy guitar riff played by Hozier to begin the performance. Hozier is one of the featured performers scheduled to appear at the star-studded “Love Rocks NYC” benefit concert in New York City tomorrow night (Thursday).
