Jam Cruise 18 Annnounces Lineup: Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz, moe. & More

The Claypool Lennon Delirium, Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz, moe., Galactic and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe are the bands atop the Jam Cruise 18 lineup. This year’s musical adventure at sea will take place aboard the MSC Divina January 7 – January 20, 2020. JC18 leaves Miami and stops at a newly opened private island in the Bahamas and Costa Maya, Mexico before returning to Miami.

Lettuce, Lotus, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Turkuaz, Garage A Trois, Dumpstaphunk, Keller Williams (Solo & Grateful Grass), The Soul Rebels and Nathan Moore are more of the acts set to play Jam Cruise 18. A big batch of Jam Cruise first timers includes Tank & The Bangas, Ghost Light, Cory Wong, Circles Around The Sun, Grateful Shred, Ghost-Note, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers and Kitchen Dwellers.

Guitarist Marcus King will lead the Jam Cruise 18 Super Jam and George Porter Jr. will be on bass for Robert Walter’s 20th Congress. The Disco Biscuits members Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein will be aboard for Spaga and DJ Brownie sets respectively as well as an Electron performance collectively. Solo Artists for the trip will be Charlie Hunter, Ryan Montbleau, Lebo, Tom Hamilton, Steve Poltz, Holly Bowling, Cris Jacobs and Brock Butler. Walter “Wolfman” Washington, George Porter Jr., Karina Rykman, Casey Benjamin, Alfreda Gerald and Roosevelt Collier are next year’s Special Guests.

Les Claypool will do double duty come January on the Divina. His Bastard Jazz project features Stanton Moore, Skerik and Mike Dillon. He’ll also perform with Sean Lennon as part of The Claypool Lennon Delirium. Jam Cruise 18 will host the return of the Masters Camp At Sea add-on program for cruisers who “wish to pursue their own musical mastery.” Luther Dickinson, Eric Krasno, Nikki Glaspie, Garrett Sayers, George Porter Jr., Charlie Hunter, Ivan Neville, Robert Walter and Nigel Hall have been tapped as instructors. In addition to the music, attendees can enjoy all of the amenities of the ship including a full service spa, fitness center, casino, pools and hot tubs.
