Jeff Tweedy Covers John Lennon’s “God” In Honor Of Late Rocker’s 80th Birthday [Video]

October 9th of last week would have been the 80th birthday of rock music icon John Lennon. Numerous members of the music community ranging from Tame Impala to Sean Ono Lennon made a point to pay tribute to the late Beatles guitarist who was famously murdered in New York City in December 1980.

Wilco‘s Jeff Tweedy was one of the musicians who also honored Lennon’s legacy by sharing a live cover of “God” from 1970’s Plastic Ono Band. Tweedy’s studio performance of the song saw him take lead vocal and acoustic guitar duties as joined by Spencer Tweedy and Liam Kazar.
