Spafford moved their in-person New Year’s Eve concerts at the Marquee Backyard in Tempe, Arizona to April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The band will, however, proceed with their plans to hold livestream concerts on December 30 and 31.
The Arizona based-band had initially planned to hold in-person concerts outdoors at the newly minted Marquee Backyard to celebrate their 11 year anniversary. The socially distanced live audience shows are now rescheduled for April 20 and 21.
Spafford took to social media to announce the rescheduling. Read their Facebook post below:
It’s with deep regret that we must announce our New Year’s run will be unable to be in person and has been changed to a Live-Stream only event. There’s absolutely nothing we wanted more than to see all of you dancing and living in the music – however your health, our health, and the general public’s health is the top priority right now. We will be postponing these dates and will take the NYE party online and into the safety and comfort of your own homes.
