The Head and the Heart will embark on the Every Shade of Blue 2022 North American Tour this May. Named after “Every Shade Of Blue,” a new single from the band due out this Friday, January 21, the lengthy excursion runs through October and includes support from Shakey Graves, Dawes and Jade Bird at select dates.
“It’s wild to think that by the time we get back on the road this year, it will have been over 2 and a half years since we last toured,” noted The Head And The Heart in a statement. “We’re so excited to bring new songs to life on stage every night, traveling alongside artists who inspire us. We can’t wait to get out there, doing what we do with an even greater sense of gratitude.”
The tour starts at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 20 ahead of an appearance at Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival on May 22. From there the band hits Kansas City, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Lewiston (New York), Cleveland and LaFayette (New York) over the remainder of May. The Head And The Heart focuses on the Northeast to bring the first leg of the run to a close with June concerts in Northampton, Massachusetts; Shelburne, Vermont; Portland, Maine; New York City; Vienna, Virginia and Boston.
The Head And The Heart returns to the road two months later for a swing through Texas featuring stops in Austin on August 2, Houston on August 4 and Dallas on August 5. Next comes performances in Oklahoma City on August 6, Salt Lake City (at a venue to be announced) on August 8, Boise on August 9, Missoula on August 11, Seattle on August 12 and Portland on August 16. It’s then off to California for shows in Santa Barbara on August 18, Berkeley on August 19, Los Angeles on August 20 and San Diego on August 22.
Denver’s Mission Ballroom hosts the band on September 14 before a sold-out show at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado on September 15. The tour continues with concerts in Richmond, Charlotte, Wilmington (North Carolina), Columbus, Toronto, Detroit and Indianapolis to end September. Finally, The Head And The Heart conclude the jaunt with October shows in Chicago, Madison, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Birmingham, St. Augustine (Florida), Atlanta and Nashville.
Tickets for The Head And The Heart’s 2022 North American Tour dates go on sale to the general public for nearly all shows this Friday, January 21 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can also text 206-339-3209 to sign up today for the group’s text message fan club. Those who register will receive a code to use in an exclusive presale starting tomorrow (Wednesday, January 19) at 10 a.m. local time and running through Thursday, January 20 at 10 p.m. local time.
