Ghost Light arrived at The Homestead on Tuesday for the latest stop on The Healing Tour. The Morristown, NJ performance arrived as the fourth of the band’s nascent tour behind its new album, The Healing.

The indie jam outfit’s sophomore album arrived three years after its debut studio offering, Best Kept Secrets. In that time, Tom Hamilton (lead guitar, vocals), Raina Mullen (lead vocals, guitar), Holly Bowling (keys), Scotty Zwang (drums), and recent addition Taylor Shell (bass) used the isolation imposed by the pandemic to look inward and produce some of the group’s most revealing compositions to date.

The Healing was something I had been searching for over the last 4 years, and still lose and find again every day,” Mullen said at the album’s release. “Can you ever fully heal from traumas you’ve experienced or do they just simply live inside of you and you learn to dance around them? Writing my traumas into songs and figuring out a way to look at them with shifting perspectives, face them in the mirror and see how they changed me is not easy. I have a hard time letting go and really releasing but I found a lot of freedom, and new parts of my soul, in writing these songs.”
