Sharon Van Etten released a new single, “Never Gonna Change.” The track is set to land on the deluxe edition of the singer-songwriter’s 2022 album, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong, due out on November 11 via Jagjaguwar.
We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong arrived on May 6. Along with the original album, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong (Deluxe Edition) compiles the standalone singles “Porta” and “Used To It.” The collection also boasts two unreleased tracks from the sessions, “When I Die” and today’s single, “Never Gonna Change.”
Co-produced by Van Etten and Daniel Knowles, Sharon stated that the new single “is about managing depression and anxiety in the midst of isolation. Coping with recurring fears throughout adulthood, acknowledging that flaws, fears and triggers can’t be overcome, they are a constant part of one’s identity to learn to be at peace with.”
