The Avett Brothers will ring in 2024 with a New Year’s Eve concert at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. Guitarist Marcus King and his band will open the show on December 31, 2023.

On December 31, 2004 The Avett Brothers played their first New Year’s Eve concert. That show took place at the Neighborhood Theater in Charlotte. The Avett Brothers have performed NYE shows in their home state of North Carolina each year since with two exceptions. In 2011 they headed down to Greenville, South Carolina for the celebratory show and the 2021 concert was canceled due to COVID.
Raleigh’s PNC Arena last hosted an Avett Brothers New Year’s Eve show on December 2017 after previous year-ending concerts at the venue in 2014 and 2015. A total of 10 New Year’s Eve shows from the group led by Scott Avett and Seth Avett were held in Charlotte including last year’s gig. The Avetts also ended 2009 and 2010 in Asheville and 2012 and 2019 in Greensboro.
