Eagles bring their Long Goodbye farewell tour to Denver’s Ball Arena tonight (Thursday, October 5) and tomorrow (Friday, October 6). While Steely Dan was set to open, as they have and will other stops on the trek, Sheryl Crow has stepped in to the support slot due to illness.

“Steely Dan has fallen ill and will no longer be opening,” reads a note emailed from the venue to ticketholders referring to the Donald Fagen-led band as a person. “Sheryl Crow is now the opener for October 5 and 6, 2023 Eagles event dates.” An announcement about the change of the bill has not been posted on Eagles, Sheryl Crow or Steely Dan social accounts as of press time. Ticketmaster listings have been updated to reflect Sheryl Crow as the opener.

Sheryl Crow previously opened for the Eagles on their 1994/1995 Hell Freezes Over reunion tour before she was a superstar. Crow also served as support for the band’s 2019 show at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Eagles follow the two-night stand in Denver with shows in Indianapolis on Monday, October 9 and Tuesday, October 10. Steely Dan are still listed as openers on Ticketmaster.

Sheryl Crow is expected to take the stage at 7:30 p.m. each night in Denver. Eagles then begin their set at 9:30 p.m.
