Reed Mathis and Electric Beethoven shared a new single, “For Elise.” The track issued on Color Red is based on Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Für Elise.”
Led by bassist Reed Mathis, the band’s latest single features keyboardist Todd Stoops, guitarist Clay Welch and drummer Josh Raymer. Recorded by Mike Tallman during sessions at Denver’s Color Red Studios and mixed by Eddie Roberts, “For Elise” is among several of Beethoven’s greatest hits that Electric Beethoven reinterpreted, including the previously shared single, “The Fifth,” based on a portion of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
