Tonight marks the long-awaited start to the eighth and final season of the HBO television series Game Of Thrones. Fans of the small screen adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s epic fantasy novel series A Song Of Ice And Fire have been waiting many months for the popular fantasy series to resume. To help prepare for winter’s coming later this evening, here’s a look at three videos of the “Game Of Thrones Theme” being played live by a legion of talented musicians.

Offering up interpretations of the main Game Of Thrones “Theme” are Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band at Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads venue in San Rafael, California in March 2013; Yonder Mountain String Band with (at the time special guest) Allie Kral at the Los Angeles House Of Blues in April 2015 and Brock Butler performing solo on acoustic guitar from his home in September 2014. As a bonus, here’s a clip of Sigur Rós making a brief cameo appearance in Season 4 – despite King Joffrey’s lack of enthusiasm with their playing.
